Proxi and Peri, 'the Tides made flesh' wash up on a bleak shore, surprised to still be human. They cross a hostile landscape to confront the moon, arguing the pros and cons of being human en route. Made for Bristol Loves Tides, and shot in Cabo de Gata, Spain with Desperate Men, the film riffs on buddy movies and Spaghetti Westerns to question Humanity's ambivalent relationship with non human systems. Screened at Bath Film Festival 2016
PROXI & PERI - 2015
Collaboration with Desperate Men for Bristol Loves Tides, a Bristol European Green Capital 2015 flagship project. Two strange characters awake on the River Severn's muddy shore, get to grips with being human, and are compelled by a disembodied female voice to venture upriver on an mysterious mission.
THE CLAW - 2012
Ruby is obsessed with claw machines - Dad is haunted by a killer - Mum wants a normal day at the beach. Winner - Best Comedy Short - Carmarthen Bay Film Festival 2012, selected for British Council's Shorts Support Scheme, distributed by Network Ireland Television. When Dad sees Ruby eat a sandwich she's dropped in the sand, he recalls that a notorious killer's ashes were scattered on the beach. Mum wants a nice day at the seaside without Dad's morbid speculations. Events take a queer turn when the family visit an amusement arcade and Ruby claims an unusual prize from the claw machine.
